                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED SOUTHWEST FROM ELMENDORF STREET,
                   BETWEEN RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND NORTH HICKORY
                   STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned an alley located southwest from Elmendorf Street, 

         between Riverside Drive and North Hickory Street, more
         particularly described herein, and as shown on plat attached
         hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
                A 20 foot wide alleyway beginning on the southwest
                line of Elmendorf Street 140 feet southeast of the
                intersection of the southwest line of Elmendorf
                Street with the southeast line of Riverside Drive,
                and extending southwest 415 feet between parallel
                lines, and parallel to Riverside Drive, to the
                northeast line of Wilder Street.  Said alleyway
                separates lots 1-16, block 64, East Chattanooga
                Middle Section, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 3, page 21, ROHC, and the southwest 15 feet of
                Elmendorf Street (abandoned by deed book 797, page
                15, ROHC) which adjoins said lot 16, from revised
                lot 25, Corrective Plat, East Chattanooga Middle
                Section Block 64, Resubdivision of Lots 17-32, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 45, page 4,
                ROHC.  Tax Map No. 127M-H-1-6.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
